STRUCTURAL BIOLOGY OF CELL SURFACE RECEPTORS

Structures of matrix proteins.

The adhesion can also be between cell surface receptors and extracellular matrix proteins. We have determined a number of matrix protein structures, including thrombospondin-1 (TSP-1) type I repeat, Del-1 and the heparin-binding reelin-N domain of F-spondin, etc. These proteins play various roles in cell biology.

These works have been extensive collaborations with colleagues within Dana-Farber and Harvard Medical School.
